Visual Guide


  1. Drag and drop your .fbx, .obj, or .zip character file into the upload area on Mixamo.
    Once uploaded, follow the auto-rigging steps to add a skeleton and basic controls to your character.
    Make sure your file is clean and properly prepared for a successful rigging process.

  2. Confirm Rigging and Download AnimationsAfter reviewing the auto-rigged character, press Next to proceed.
    Then, select and download all the animations you need in .fbx format:
    • Download the first animation with skin.
    • Download additional animations without skin to reduce file size and speed up workflow.
    This method ensures your character remains consistent across all animations while optimizing file management.

Import all your .fbx animation files into Blender.
(For this visual, all animations were imported with skin for better visibility, but normally, downloading only the first one with skin is enough.)

You should now see multiple characters or armatures in the scene β€” one for each animation file you imported.



  1. Open the Mixanimo Addon Panel and Load AnimationsPress the N key to open the sidebar and access the Mixanimo Addon panel.
    Click Load Actions to load all animations from the imported armatures.
    • Sometimes the first armature may appear at the bottom of the list.
      Use the up and down arrows next to each entry to reorder it to the top.
    • After organizing, you can delete all armatures except the first one in the scene.
      The animation actions from the deleted armatures are now safely stored and ready to use!

  2. Assign All Animations to the Armature AutomaticallyWith the armature selected in the scene:
    • First, click Confirm Order to finalize the animation sequence.
    • Then, click Send to automatically assign all the loaded animations to the selected armature in perfect synchronization.
    No manual strip editing needed β€” your timeline will be populated with clean, correctly ordered animations!

  3. Check the Timeline in the NLA EditorOpen the NLA Editor panel (bottom-left) to view the results.
    You will see that all your animations have been neatly lined up one after another β€” automatically placed in sequence.
